What are muscle-relaxing injections?
Anti-wrinkle injections temporarily smooth the lines and wrinkles that occur on your face as you age, by relaxing the facial muscles that cause them. The injections contain a toxin, known as botulinum toxin type A, which helps relax the muscles by blocking nerve impulses and weakening the hyperactive muscles which also stop the lines from becoming even deeper.

What can I expect
This treatment is available at both our Camberley and Farnham clinics. Before treatment, Dr Laurice Guirguis will run through a detailed consultation with you to discuss your expectations, which areas of the face or neck you would like treated and your suitability for this treatment.
If you would like to go ahead, the injections are relatively painless and made with an ultra-fine needle. The procedure takes about half an hour and requires no downtime afterwards. It will take 3-14 days for the treatment to take full effect.
We advise our patients to return for a follow up 2 weeks after initial treatment to assess muscle movement.
